And in this moment, we recognize that our storylines wander in aimless circles, our poems are pretty images lined up on a page, and our inspiration is merely a chaotic mass of raw emotion that seems only to fester and throb when we stage fruitless attempts to suppress it. And it is in these dramatic self-reflections that we come to terms with the dynamics of the human psyche and recognize ourselves, not only as victims, but prisoners. We scatter our vocabulary out into all the other webs of words and elegant prose, in some hope that we are somehow calmed by this desperate form of expression. With callous fingers, we lick the tips of our felt-tip dreams and write in fragmented slices of soul and blood, searching for an escape, though at some deeper consciousness we are aware of our insufficiency to reach this point of freedom.
